Jared & Hilario

Ten goal great Hilario Ulloa, riding the best horses of the season, is the front man for his undefeated Daily Racing Form team. They will go into battle with polo giant Valiente on Sunday for a shot at winning the prestigious U.S. Open. He’ll have the support of three young players who have demonstrated skill and prowess beyond their years this season.

Young Jared Zenni (5) put together a winning team comprised of three medium goal players who win with shear determination. Agustin Obregon (5) and Mariano Obregon (6) round out the foursome that has powered its way into the finals of the biggest tournament of the year.

Valiente was the pre-tournament favorite and they are also the Open defending champions. Their prime motivation, beyond winning another Open crown, is a shot at the Triple Crown for the second year in a row. They haven’t lost a 26 goal game all season. Adolfo Cambiaso (10) is out to win his 9th U.S. Open trophy.

If there is truth in numbers DRF won their Open games by an average of 2.6 goals while Valiente dominated their opponents with an average of 6 points a game. The WPT ranks Ulloa as the number 11 player on the world while Valiente’s Cambiaso (10) and Facundo Pieres (10) are rated at one and two. The last 26 goal Open final will clearly be a game of David vs. Goliath.
